| "The Process" - Manufacturing a Custom
Stainless Steel Countertop or Copper Countertop |
Attention to detail is one key element that separates SpecialtyStainless.com
from the rest of our competition. The following is an outline from start
to finish on how to proceed with a stainless steel countertop or copper
countertop order.

(1) Utilize our on-line
budget calculator to select a design style, add options such as
an integral custom stainless steel sink, integral backplash, custom
edge profile; review linear and square foot costs, and view a budget
total. You will have the option to submit your budget quote to us,
add comments and questions, and request a final quote. Our on-line
calculator is designed for basic straight, "L" shapes, and
Island tops. For more complex designs skip to step #2. Copper countertops
and copper sinks are quoted directly by our staff and are not an option
with the on-line budget calculator. |

If applicable, send us your detailed drawing
or sketch via email, fax, or mail with dimensions of your countertops
and sinks, including any additional critical details. We may contact
you or your designated contact person for more information or clarifications.
Please refer to our web page "Measuring
Guidelines for Stainless Steel Countertops and Copper Countertops" for
information on measuring your countertop. As mentioned in step #1,
a quick quote or budget may be completed on our site for non-complex
tops. |

A detailed quotation is prepared outlining what
is covered in the quote and then emailed, faxed or mailed to you for
your review. We will include any crating or packaging charges along
with an estimate for freight (and weight) to your door. Upon request,
quotes may be updated to adjust for design changes and modifications. |

An order is then placed with a deposit of 50%
of the total order. Upon receipt of your deposit, the work order is
scheduled in our engineering department for shop drawings. |

Detailed drawings are prepared on Solid Works
and emailed, faxed, or mailed for your approval. We require a sign-off
on all drawings. Time frame - this process usually takes 2-3 weeks,
depending on additional questions and information required. A free
3-D
email drawing is available for viewing upon request. |

Manufacturing of stainless counters and copper
counters average 3-4 weeks after receipt of final drawings. If non-stock
material is required, an additional 1-2 weeks may be added to the
lead time, especially for copper countertop orders. A water drainage
test is completed on all custom stainless steel sinks and custom copper
sinks and properly documented during our quality control process. |

We
will contact you when your order is crated and ready
to ship. Shipping details are finalized and your
product is shipped per your instructions and preferred
carrier. Freight is C.O.D. Please note that the
final balance on your order is due prior to shipping.
Digital photos of your order are available via email upon request
prior to shipping. |

Free technical phone support is available for
installation questions from you, your contractor or installer. If
a wood backer was not ordered with your custom countertop, we will
provided upon request general information for preparing a wood backer
for your stainless steel counter or copper counter prior to shipping
. |
